Snakebite glanced at him and sat up, bathing herself as well. Soon the sweat was gone and she looked beautiful, yet again. "Hm.. Well, considering what just happened, I'm pretty sure I do." She mewed, green eyes soft, as if she didn't really care. Which she didn't. What was done was done anyways, and calling him a man whore was not going to help anything.

Blackpaw blinked back surprise as her beauty returned. How's that possible? All the other times, the shecats still looked like trash. He smiled then, hoping she still still trusted him. "Hm.. Well, considering what just happened, I'm pretty sure I do." The apprentice's heart dropped. Panic embraced him. This "thing" they had created entertainment for him. He couldn't lose this. Does that mean that this is over? Collecting himself, the tom got up and padded towards her. "But they all meant nothing." He whispered, hoping to change her mind. "You're different, Snakebite." He purred, looking into her beautiful green eyes.

Snakebite glanced at the tom, looking into his odd colored eyes. He was hard to say no to, and that's exactly why she knew he couldn't be trusted. Blackpaw would use it to his advantage at the first glimpse he got of a pretty little she-cat. "Oh, I'm different? Isn't that sweet." She mewed, her tone icy and unbelieving. "Then promise me you won't do what we just did with any other she-cat, from now on." Snakebite said smugly, knowing he couldn't promise that and stick to his word.

"Oh, I'm different? Isn't that sweet." Getting impatient, the tom frowned. He was about to lose his temper. This shecat better be careful. "Look, Snakebite, it's not my fault you let me do that. It was your choice. I was the one that asked if you wanted to go further. So you don't have to act like this is my fault." He said, trying his hardest not to yell. "Then tell promise me you won't do what we just did with any other she-cat, from now on." Blackpaw recollected himself yet again. He already knew an answer to this question. I've answered it one too many times. He smiled and leaned in, inches from her face. "I would never think of it. You have my word. Like I said, you're different." He lied. I've had practice. Without thinking, the tom glided his tail across her pelt, hoping that would get her trust back.

Snakebite's eyes narrowed, she still didn't trust him, but she didn't have the energy to fight with him. She just licked his cheek and pressed her cheek into his side. Without saying anything she curled into a ball in the grass, eyes drooping shut.

Blackpaw purred as she licked his cheek. Instantly, he felt bad. He didn't love her. I'm going to end up hurting her.. The tom sat there, not knowing what to say anymore. He looked at her curled into a ball, starting to fall asleep. He wasn't tired anymore. What can I do? Silently, he shuffled his paws, trying to think of something to say. Flirting doesn't do much, might as well create regular conversation. "So, uh, Mentor? Still want me to catch some prey for the clan?" He asked, casually.

The she-cat hid a smile, knowing he was trying to please her. She stood and shrugged, "I don't know, Apprentice. Are you up for it?" She challenged playfully, nudging his shoulder. "What do you smell?" Snakebite asked, testing his skills. She knew he didn't like to listen, but he was older thn all the other apprentices, and it was about time he became a warrior.

"I don't know, Apprentice. Are you up for it?" Blackpaw hesitated for a moment. Might as well... It will clear the awkwardness. He nodded his head, and started to sniff the air. "What do you smell?" The apprentice continued to sniff the air and concentrated. "Mouse." He said, confidently, pointing his nose in the direction of the woods. He looked at her, to make sure he was right.

Snakebite barely had to inhale to know he was right. She had a very keen sense of smell. "Good. Now, go see if you can catch it." She mewed, this was secretly going to be part of his assessment, but she wouldn't tell him that. Snakebite was a good mentor, but she always liked to challenge her apprentices.

"Good. Now, go see if you can catch it." Surprise hit Blackpaw, but he ignored it. Silently, he sniffed the air once again, trying to see if the mouse had moved. Mice were fast, but that didn't bother Blackpaw. He had always been pretty light on his feet, one of the fastest apprentices as far as he could tell. Without thinking the tom stalked forward and spotted the mouse near a tree. One..two...three! On the count of three he pounced on top of the mouse, killing it instantly. Hunger overwelmed him. He looked down at his prey, deciding whether he should eat it or not. The apprentice didn't bother to look at his mentor though. I don't need her permission. After all, she ate her catch too. Without hesitating, he bit into the mouse, and looked up to catch Snakebite's eyes. I doubt she cares.
