Snakebite sat in the middle of camp, staring at her white front paws, green eyes emotionless and clouded. What have I done? Did I make the right choice? She sighed, desperately wishing Blackpaw would be there for her to confide in, even though she knew he wasn't loyal to her. At least he made her feel better. I need to tell him... No matter how much it hurts, he has to know. She told herself, raising her head to look for Blackpaw, her apprentice and the father of the kit she'd given away.

A black, white, and brown tom strolled into camp, depositing a plump mouse in the fresh kill pile for once. He sighed, and yawned deeply. These days he went out hunting as an excuse for doing things he shouldn't. Things that probably won't last. He looked up to see Snakebite, looking worried. Blackpaw immediately narrowed his eyes, knowing something was wrong. Great. What happened now? Lately, he had felt bad about what had happened, but then again he blamed her for most of it. She was the one wanting to go through with it. Trying to be casual, he padded up to the pretty shecat, and planted a big sexy smile on his face. "Hey there Snakebite." He meowed, preparing himself to deal with the shecat's emotional and hostile personality. But so easy to deceive..

Snakebite glanced at him with her pretty green eyes filled with worry. "Blackpaw... I have to tell you something. But not here. Let's get away from camp." She mewed, standing up and padding out of the camp quickly, finding a big oak she sat underneath it, holding back tears. "I- we have a kit." She whispered softly.

"Blackpaw... I have to tell you something. But not here. Let's get away from camp." Blackpaw said nothing in reply. He had noticed how worried her green eyes looked, and he had no room to say anything. Without question, he followed his mentor to a tree, and saw she was on the verge of tears. Oh starclan, no! I hate it when shecats cry. But what she said was nothing compared to what he had witnessed, heard, and done before. "I- we have a kit." Surprise hit Blackpaw, making him almost colapse unto the ground. His breathing started to quicken, and he felt miserable. But that misery was suddenly replaced by pure anger. That stupid shecat! Collecting himself, Blackpaw glared at Snakebite. "Are you an idiot!?" He yowled at her, not being able to control himself. "You didn't even think to eat herbs afterwards? What the hell am I going to do, Snakebite? Living my whole life without meeting my own kit?" He hissed at her. Clearly, she hadn't thought this whole thing through. "What did you do with it?" He then asked, flatly. He didn't care about what happened to it, but he did care about who knew about the kit.

Snakebite hissed, "It's not like I was going to go to Jaderain and ask her for herbs because my apprentice got me pregnant!" She spat angrily. How dare he blame this all on me! She took a few deep breaths, calming down. "Anyways... No one knows they are ours. It's going to stay like that. My sister, Dawnflight was having kits. I gave our kit to her. No one knows, I swear. It's in Windclan now." She whispered, looking up at him. Suddenly she pushed her side into his, needing someone to lean on.

"Anyways... No one knows they are ours. It's going to stay like that. My sister, Dawnflight was having kits. I gave our kit to her. No one knows, I swear. It's in Windclan now." "Good." He hissed at her, ignoring her temper tantrum she was having. Suddenly, Blackpaw felt felt awkward. She's my mentor! "What did you name it?" He asked her suddenly, already knowing the answer. As she leaned on him, he moved slightly. I don't want to touch her right now..

Snakebite looked at him. "Blackpaw, don't treat me any different... If it ever happens again I'l be prepared." She muttered. "I-I didn't name it... I left it up to Dawnfight. He's her kit now." She explained softly. "I'm so sorry." She whispered, wanting him to hear it from her, even if it meant nothing to him at the moment. It meant something to her.

"I-I didn't name it... I left it up to Dawnfight. He's her kit now." Blackpaw had completely ignored the first thing she said. She won't be prepared... Because it probably won't happen again. "Well, if you find out it's name. Tell me. I want to avoid it as much as possible during gatherings." He spoke, coldly, emphasizing 'it'. He didn't want his own kit to know his father was just an apprentice. And if I ever see him, I'll be reminded that he was only just a mistake! "I'm so sorry." Blackpaw looked away from Snakebite, he couldn't stand to look at her when she apologized. "Well, it can't be helped now. So don't say sorry, there's no point." He said, flatly.

Snakebite was saddened, but what had she expected? Him to want to see the kit? No, this was the best way things could have gone. She looked at him, collecting herself before mewing, "Anyways, we've got to battle train. Come on." She led the way to the training hollow, lowing herself down to a pounce position. She flicked her tail, "Come at me."

Blackpaw hesitated for a moment. He couldn't battle train after all of this had just happened. What the hell is she thinking? Instead of coming at her, he stood his ground and spoke, "Before we start, I need to ask you something." He put on his old conceded grin of his and continued, "Let's forget all of this happened, okay? We can go back to how it used to be, before it got all awkward. It'll make training easier." With that, he attacked his mentor head on, remembering to keep his claws in.
