Silversky sat by herself in her den, humming random tunes. She had heard twolegs singing them earlier, and had caught on pretty easily. Silently, she sorted herbs she had collected earlier, this time she remembered the herbs for pregnant queens. Better remember to take these to Velvetfoot later.. She quickly separated the birthing herbs, and such to the side, and continued to work on the main ones. Poppy seeds go here... Marigold here... Moss here.. It might have seemed boring for any other cat, but Silversky didn't mind it. It helped her think, and improved her skills. Skills that probably need more practice. Grunting in frustration, Silversky crushed a rotten herb. Then, with one slick movement, picked it up in her small jaws and threw it out of the medicine cat den. Instantly, the medicine cat felt paranoid. What if it hit someone?!

Raggedpaw's striped feet thudded against the WindClan camp, heading towards the medicine cat den. He should've been doing his apprentice duties, but who really cares if the elders have warm nests or clean water. I sure don't, he said to himself, a smirk appearing on his lips. That smirk was quickly demolished as Raggedpaw approached the medicine cat den, standing at the entrance. His fur was suddenly sticky and smelled like something rotten and old. He glanced down with a gasp, glaring at the herb that stuck to his pelt. He shook it, ridding himself of most of the nasty stuff.
With an annoyed grunt, Raggedpaw brushed past the den entrance, not bothering to say hello before he entered. Instantly, he was overwhelmed with the stench of herbs, which smelled like a dead cat to him. "Thanks for chucking your repulsive plant on me," he said aloud, knowing Silversky would hear. He didn't see her; she was probably in the back with the herbs. Raggedpaw sat down and began to clean his fur, scrunching up his nose when the tangy smell of the herb stuck on his tongue. "Next time, warn the innocent cat whose standing outside your den before they're hit with random flying objects," he added and snorted with amusement at his own joke.

"Thanks for chucking your repulsive plant on me," Alarm rushed through Silversky as she heard the familiar voice. Without thinking, she rushed to the tom to see him cleaning his fur. "Oh my! I am so sorry Raggedpaw!" She said, in a paniced voice. I hope he doesn't hate me now.. Looking the apprentice up and down, she noticed there was only a little bit of the herb on his pelt. Quickly, she rushed over to the part of her den where a pool of water was. She dipped moss in it and returned to Raggedpaw, brushing his coat slickly with the soaked moss. When she was finished, she looked him over, hoping that was the last of it. "Next time, warn the innocent cat whose standing outside your den before they're hit with random flying objects," "Yes, yes, of course. I was just... frustrated. That's all. I promise it won't happen again." She apologized. Yet again, the shecat looked up and down his coat, looking for signs of stickiness, but found none. "Did I get it all?" She asked softly, hoping he wouldn't yell at her again. You're so stupid Silversky! Think before you act next time!

Raggedpaw's gaze calmly followed her as she washed the rest of the herb off his fur. He chuckled at her frantic apology and flicked her nose with his tail. "Geez, Silver, calm down. I'm not going to attack you or anything," he said and laughed again. He settled down in her den, wrapped his tail around his paws. He was so used to being in the medicine cat den, he knew the scent and every crevice in the den by heart. He came in here quiet often, because Silversky was the sole cat he could trust with his darkest secrets. She knew everything there was to know about him, including his past that consisted of one crazed father and a battle-junkie brother. He stretched out his paws in front of him and yawned. "So, what's up? Any cats die lately?' he said, his tone playful and joking.

"Geez, Silver, calm down. I'm not going to attack you or anything," The silver tabby relaxed a little, and gave him a small fake smile. She even gave a slight laugh as he flicked her nose. Good. He's not mad. As he settled down, Silversky picked up the damp moss and returned it to the small pool of water. Him being in here was no surprise, but she still felt uneasy whenever he snapped at her. Even though he doesn't mean it.. But she never mentioned that it bothered her. She was too nice to be honest to every cat around her. Plus, he can't change. Now, can he? "So, what's up? Any cats die lately?' Silversky's fur stood up on end. The thought disturbed her the most out of any kind. But, like most things, she didn't mention it. "I, uh, um," She stummbled for words. Trying to distract him from her mistraught, she started to organize herbs that were near the front of the den. Ones that she needed on a daily basis. "Raggedpaw, I'm sure you would have heard from clan members if a cat died." She told him gently. She then turned to him and gave him a small smile. "So, no. None have. Thank starclan." She added softly.

Raggedpaw watched her work, returning the moss and arranging the herbs. Strangely, it calmed him. He had seen her arrange the herbs so many times it was basically part of his daily routine. Wake up, mess around with a random she-cat, eat, watch Silversky arrange herbs, eat again, mess around with another she-cat, and sleep. He chuckled softly at that thought, but the medicine cat's voice snapped him back to reality. "True, but I'm barely in camp anyways," he replied and shrugged. He was way too busy... doing other things to bother with the camp. It was boring and he felt like he was trapped in there sometimes. He didn't mind Silversky knowing that, she knew everything. Damn, she was smart. So, no. None have. Raggedpaw nodded and rolled onto his back, his legs sticking up in the air. He glanced back at Silversky with bright eyes. "That's good. Hey, do you mind teaching me some herbs? I come in her all the time, but have never bothered to learn one of the herbs' names. They might come in handy one day," he asked with pleading eyes, a look he put on to get his way.

Silversky watched as he turned unto his back, and stuck his legs in the air. She chuckled softly, loving how he was so carefree and confident. Unlike myself.. "That's good. Hey, do you mind teaching me some herbs? I come in her all the time, but have never bothered to learn one of the herbs' names. They might come in handy one day," The shecat narrowed her eyes in confusion. Since when was he interested in herbs? She noticed his pleading eyes and smiled, followed by a laugh. The joy was real this time. Curiously, the shecat padded over to where he was laying and sat down, looking down at him. "Well, Raggedpaw. I thought the smell of herbs displeased you." She joked with him, poking his side with her paw lightly. But he did seem serious. Silversky sighed, and got back up. She turned and padded over to her storage and brought out a few herbs, and then came back to Raggedpaw, placing them in front of him. "Where shall we start?" She asked, pointing her nose to the commonly used herbs.

Raggedpaw chuckled at her words. "Oh they do. That putrid smell," he laughed and winked at her playfully. "But what would happen if little 'ol me was alone in the forest, bleeding to death and didn't know what to do? That'd be... bad," he said and shrugged. The black and white tom rolled over and sat up, staring at the herbs in front of him. He narrowed his eyes, trying to name them. He couldn't, they all looked the same to him. Plant-like and oddly shaped. What was the difference? And how the heck did Silversky remember all of them? He poked one and redrew his paw. "Uh, I would try and name them. But I have no clue," he answered her, still staring at the herbs.

"Uh, I would try and name them. But I have no clue," Allie smiled gently, not expecting him to know the names. Even though he did do stuff she disapproved of, she still looked at him as if he were her own younger brother. Snapping out of her daydream, she poked at the herbs, trying to remember how she taught Thymepaw about them. "That's exactly why I asked you where we should start. " She explained. She pointed at the one closest to her. It was a long root type herb, that didn't have a scent. "This is called a burdock root. So if you were alone and bleeding, you would chew them up and place them on your wound." She explained, carefully. She looked at him, hoping he understood. "Are you ready to move on to the next one? Or did I not explain it well enough?" She asked, hoping she hadn't messed up.

Raggedpaw's bright blue eyes stared at the herb she mentioned, burdock. Burdock, burdock, burdock. I'll remember that, he thought to himself, sniffing the herb more closely. It smelled like nothing. I like that one best, he decided simply. "Great, now I have the knowledge to keep myself alive," he said with a playful half-smile. Are you ready to move on to the next one? Raggedpaw glanced up at the medicine cat, giving her a smile. "I think I'm ready, o' wise one," he murmured.
