Frostrunner kept Monarchblossom's gaze for a lingering moment with a silent sigh, his tail tip twitching. He wondered what it was up with those two she-cats. Why are they always arguing with each other all of the time? He glanced up at the sky, silently agreeing with the young apprentice that it was a pretty good day for an assessment. The experience warrior tried to ignore Monarchblossom's and Buttercuppaw's bickering, and then he suddenly grew impatient. "Enough," he growled in a small warning, glaring at them both. He slowly stood up agitated, a little surprised at his own reaction. Frostrunner made his fur go back down and dug his sharp claws in the soft earth. "What's the matter with you two?" he growled a little more harshly than he had meant it. "Can't you guys just get a long for one day?"

Monarchblossom blinked in surprise at the deputy, but then smiled slightly. "I'm sorry," She spoke, completely ignoring Buttercuppaw's attemps to greet her before. "I didn't think we were bickering, honestly."
The truth was, she didn't consider her and Buttercuppaw bickering.
Just... not acknowledging each other..
She turned to Buttercuppaw, and leaned down, away from Frostrunner. "Just, pretend to get along. Okay? Then he won't yell at either of us. Because I'm pretty sure neither one of us like each other. So, sound like a plan?" She whispered to the almost-warrior, making sure that ONLY Buttercuppaw could hear. Monarchblossom then got back up into a sitting position and licked her paw casually, then noticed Buttercuppaw's eyes.
At least I won't be lying.
"Oh my starclan. Buttercuppaw, you have gorgeous eyes. I'm surprised I didn't notice notice before." She mewed, honestly.
Now he'll get off my back.
After all, Monarchblossom was telling the truth. |

Buttercuppaw gave a slight nod to Monarchblossom's words, but her compliment came as a complete shock. "Well, uh, thanks." She managed, dipping her head. "Yours are pretty too." The apprentice didn't want to sound rude, but it wasn't typically her thing to be admiring she-cat's eyes. Though Frostrunner's are handsome... |

Monarchblossom nodded, purring. Her tail flicked from side to side, and she glanced at Frostrunner, before turning back to Buttercuppaw. "And your fur is soft," she mewed, running her tail down the side of Buttercuppaw's stomach. "So silky," she whispered, rubbing it on her stomach. "I like it."
