Sagefoot glanced around, slightly embarassed that he was looking for the she-cat he'd formerly mentored. She must think I'm such a stalker. He thought to himself, a smirk coming across his face at the thought. Pessimisticsoul was so nice and perfect... He just couldn't stand not seeing her on a regular basis, and every since Pessimisticsoul had become a warrior he hadn't seen her a whole lot. Well duh, she's off hunting and patrolling! The tom shook his head and peeked into the warriors den, hoping to see the familiar grey striped pelt of Pessimisticsoul.

The day had been long and well, of course it was the first couple days of being an actual warrior! Not that she didn't mind or anything. It was just hard to keep up with sleep with everyone yelling things at you and calling you an apprentice because you just were one. Pessmisiticsoul sauntered her way into the Riverclan camp and looked around. Her paw's hit the ground stealthily as the soft gray striped fur made her way to see a curious sight. Her old mentor Sagefoot! A smirk grew on her face as she walked forward a few pawsteps and noticed that he was looking for someone. Pessimisticsoul made her way right next to him looking into the den and attempted to follow his gaze. But nothing was there where he stared. "Hey Sagefoot! What are we looking for exactly? I'm confused to be blind to see nothing."

Sagefoot nearly jumped out of his skin when Pessimistcsoul began talking, for he hadn't noticed her arrival. He calmed down once he recognized her, and a smile crept upon his face. "Actually, I was looking for you. Um... I wanted to congradulate you as well, I didn't really get to at your official ceremony." He explained, having come up with an excuse before hand.

Her ears perked up as she turned to see the tom jump. Pessmisticsoul let out a laugh and shook her head slowly, "Come on! I'm not that scary!" She teased raising her paw and putting it on her shoulder giving him a little shove. Her green eyes stared at him and she smiled back, it was the only thing to do when someone smiles at you before talking. An amused purred was heard out of her chest as he tried to find the right words. "Are you crazy! You congratulated me when you told Lilacstar that I did well during the assessment and allowed me to become a warrior! But thank you so much!" Her voice shook slightly at the thought she passed the assessment tests with her mentor to finally become an important part and warrior of Riverclan!

Sagefoot rolled his eyes. "Anyways, are you doing well with all of your warrior duties? I'm sure the clan's giving you a bit of grief, eh? It's not easy being the newest warrior." He mewed, understanding that very well, for he'd only been a warrior a few moons... And yet Lilacstar trusted me with an apprentice. He thought to himself. That part was still a mystery to Sagefoot. But, he was very glad he'd mentored Pessimisticsoul. It had brought them close.

Pessmisticsoul's fur rose at the thought of a warrior giving her pity. Sarcastic comments raced through her own head as she turned to face face the older warrior with a roll of her eyes. "Grief? Yeah right! You know how they treat new warriors! They make them do the hardest work and we are always called apprentices! Even though I passed the test and everything." She sighed and looked at Sagefoot. "You were a new warrior so to say when you got an apprentice! Do you think Lilacstar would trust me enough with an apprentice?"

Sagefoot tipped his head and eyed Pessimisticsoul. "Um, yes? I mean, Lilacstar is always willing to give new warriors chances to prove themselves. I don't see why she wouldn't trust you anyways. Every warrior here knows you're just as good as them, that's why they make fun of you and give you the hard tasks." He explained, nearly blushing at the fact that he'd completemented the she-cat. Though everything he said was true, he felt embarassed to say it out loud.

Pessimisticsoul looked at the tom and smiled at his indirect complement. Now she was the one to feel embarrassed to see that she took it to heart. No Pessmisticsoul. You know that he is just your old mentor complementing you, right? Of course! You are away from all the other apprentices that gave you a hard time about how you acted and sounded and looked like! Why would any warrior be different? She mentally asked herself. A bitter tone was going to come out before she stopped herself and fixed her tone, "Thank you Sagefoot! I don't know what I would do if you didn't mentor me! You're one of the best warriors out there! I know that for a fact!" [/blockquote]

Sagefoot laughed, "Nah, you were just a good apprentice. Though I am excited to see if I will get a new apprentice." He mewed, thinking about any new litters of kits that would soon become apprentices. Unfortunately, none came to mind. Oh well, I need to work on my social life anyways. And also... He glanced at Pessimisticsoul slightly.

Pessmisticsoul joined in on the laughter as he called her a good apprentice, "Yeah of course I was! I was the best around! Always tripping over my paws and stuff. You know that's some signs of a good apprentice." She looked around and pressed her pelt up against his, "You're going to get the best apprentice and teach them well. I know for a fact." She smiled and then quickly moved her body away when he glanced at her, "What's on your mind?"
