' Ravenpaw smirked. "I don't know, what were you thinking?" He asked, not really requiring an answer as he continued padding towards the creek. He felt complete with Spottedscar at his side. Though I shouldn't. She's a medicine cat! I have serious issues. He thought to himself. Why, of all the she-cats do I need to pick the one I can't have?! He held in a sigh and reached the creek, sitting at its edge and staring into the water. For a moment he wished he was a Riverclan cat, so he could go for a swim... He'd never really learned how to swim, but it seemed fun.

spottedscar purred at his answer, gently nudging him. she paused at the water's edge. the sunlight glared down on her back and she glanced to ravenpaw before slipping in the water. the current wasn't strong, so spottedscar paddled in circles. as weird as it was bring a thunderclanner and swimming, her father had taught her. he thought it was a handy tool that any cat would do good learning. it was more difficult for her, without having riverclan cat's sleek and slim body, but she still managed. "it's way too hot to be standing in the sun all day," she said to ravenpaw, raising an eyebrow.

' Ravenpaw watched Spottedscar slip into the creek, ears perking up. Of course she can swim! He thought to himself. Now it's time to embarass myself! "I agree... I'd join you, but I can't swim." He mewed softly, glancing at his paws. The white and black tom's cheeks flush a pinkish color, because he felt stupid and embarassed.

spottedscar nodded and hauled herself next to ravenpaw, her fur soaked. "well, we don't have to swim...," she murmured, but gazed at the river. "but... i could teach you! my father taught me, we're very close," she mused, her thought wandering to talonstrike. she blinked, returning to the present and gazed at ravenpaw happily, awaiting his reply.

' Ravenpaw looked at the cool, clear creek water and thought about it. Hm, might as well give it a shot. You only live once! He looked to Spottedscar and smiled, "Sure, if it's not too much trouble." He dipped his head, remembering to stay polite even if he was anxious to learn.

"sweet!" she exclaimed and giggled. spottedscar turned to the sparkling blue water and slid in, enjoying the coolness of the water to the harsh sunlight on land. "well, come on in! you can't learn to swim if you're not in the water!" she cooed, a warm smile on her petite face, as she swam in small circles.

' Ravenpaw watched her swim in slight envy, mewing with a smirk on his face. "Oh, stop showing off." He teased, glancing at the water a second before sliding into it as Spottedscar had done. He flailed around quite a bit, soaking Spottedscar with water by accident. When he actually made it to the point where he was sort of swimming he almost went under the water again, but he sort of got the hang of it and moved his legs in small, fast circles. This, at least, kept him above the water.

spottedscar giggled at him and watched with raised eyebrows. he sprayed her with water, flinching when it hit her in the eye. "jerk," she said with a chortle. the she-cat swam to him, pressing her flank to his to keep him upright. she continued making him swim circles. "the trick is to keep your paws moving really fast, so you don't sink," she murmured, smiling at him.

' Ravenpaw nodded slowly, moving his paws really fast so as to keep him above the water and moving, as Spottedscar had instructed. After awhile he got the hang of things, but suddenly he came to a very shall part and he hit the sand, falling onto it. He swallowed a mouth full of sand, spitting it out into the water. He glanced up at Spottedscar and purred, tackling her into the water. The tom pinned her under him with a smirk, but suddenly he was lost a bit in her eyes. He leant forward and licked her cheek, then realized what he was doing and stumbled for words. "I.. Uh, you're a.. I..." He finally gave up and just stood there, pinning her down and looking confused.

spottedscar swam after him, padding through the water until it hit right above her paws. she let out a yawn, her weariness catching up with her, but her breath was knocked out of her when she flew to the ground, water spraying her face. she blinked, staring up at ravenpaw in surprise. she giggled at him, prepared to swat him off her. when he licked her cheek, her breath hitched in her throat and her light blue eyes widened. she opened her mouth to say something, but nothing came out. instead, she lay there, staring at him while he stuttered. "i... um... i'm the medicine cat ravenpaw," she whispered, turning her head to the side so she didn't have to look at him. she cleared her throat, waiting for him to let her up.
