' The tabby tom put his tail under the she-cat's chin, raising it so she looked into his eyes. "Listen Summerpaw, I'll be right next to you the whole way, ok? You won't go through this alone." He mewed, touching his pink nose to hers. His eyes were filled with utter calmness, in an attempt to calm Summerpaw down as well. Though inside, he felt uncertain. How would this effect everything in the clan? Would Summerpaw be given a new mentor? He knew that was unlikely, but it was a possibility.

' Sagefoot sighed when Summerpaw voiced his own fears. "Lilacstar, will just have to deal with it. If she can't accept love, than what kind of leader is she? And Crowbone... He should be happy he has grandchildren. But Pessimisticsoul-" The tom paused. What would she do? "-she'll block me out of her entire life, likely." He mewed with a sigh. He'd just thrown away his first love... "But if we're lucky, she'll be ok." He mewed hopefully.

' Sagefoot gave a sigh and licked Summerpaw's ear. "I know... I'll tell her as soon as I can, ok?" His words before had shocked him a bit, and he gazed back into Summerpaw's blue eyes, a purr escaping him as he licked her forehead.
