' Aspen nodded slowly at his response about the clans, ears flicking back a bit at his deep, loud voice. He felt trapped by this bigger tom, still not knowing if he was about to attack him at any moment. Then, out of the blue, he a head on top of his. He glanced up at Crowbone to see him pulling away. A purr rippled through Aspen's body, coming from deep in his chest. Embarrassment lashed out around him, but he kept on purring, green eyes staring into the stormy gray pools of Crowbone's eyes.

; Crowbone smiled softly as he heard Aspen's purr, glad the tom was more comfortable around him, and perhaps trusted him. He raised his head to look at the sky, noting the sun was shining quite harshly. "You know, it's quite warm out. I know a river nearby. Want to go swimming and cool off?"

' Aspen thought about it. Sure, he could swim. It was one of the tricks of the trade he'd learned, what with being a rogue and all. "Sure... It is pretty hot." He mewed in agreement, looking around. "Well, lead the way." The tom gave a smile to Crowbone, attemtping to act friendlier than he had been earlier.

; Crowbone nodded, tail twitching then turned around, looking back over his shoulder to see if Aspen was following. After around five minutes, he finally arrived at a clear river, with some trees and a clearing on the other side, a perfect place to dry off and relax afterwards. "After you then."

' Aspen followed along at Crowbone's side, excited to go swimming. He hadn't gone for a while, but he knew that there was no better day to go for a swim than today. The sun was shining down on his blue tortie pelt, making him nearly melt. So, when they arrived at the river he wasn't afraid to jump in, and so he did. His head popped up above the water and he started swimming in circles. "Mm, the water's nice!" He mewed, looking up at Crowbone.

' Aspen squealed in his high pitched voice, getting drenched in water. It got in his green eyes and he blinked the water away, a purr escaping him. "Hey!" He mewed, splashing at Crowbone by flicking water at him with his paws. An amused look sparkled in his green eyes, as playfulness captivated him.

; Crowbone grinned at Aspen, diving underwater to escape the splashing water. He re-emerged behind Aspen, before sending a huge wave a water with his tail in the other's direction.

' Aspen looked around for Crowbone, and heard him surface behind him. So he spun around, just in time to duck under the wave coming towards him. He jumped out of the water suddenly at Crowbone, sinking him to the bottom of the sand. But where they were standing was so close to the shore that is was shallow enough so that Crowbone could still breath. Aspen purred in amusement. "Gotcha."

; Crowbone panted as he was suddenly thrown onto the ground and felt a weight on top of him. He smirked, and feeling a little gutsy, leaned up slightly to brush his muzzle against Aspen's. "Guess you do."
