Monarchblossom sat at the bank of the river, squinting at the sparkling water. She sighed and laid down, basking in the sunlight. She hadn't been this relaxed in a long time, and hoped it would stay like this for at least awhile. If a cat decides to disturb me... Slowly, the shecat closed her eyes and drifted into a light nap. She could easily be woken up, but lighter naps were more relaxing to her. Images played over her mind. Flowers, birds, squirrels, trees, and even crickets. She was picturing all the scents and sounds in her mind. Just trying to make a peaceful image..

Ivorypaw walked up behind his mentor, he had to train, but she was sleeping. His eyes widened, Monarchblossom wasn't exactly his favorite clanmate, and he knew to NEVER wake her. He slowly turned around, his pelt rustling softly. He looked back at her to make sure she was still sleeping, and stepped forward, a small branch snapped under his foot. His ears flattened against his head, it was so load like an explosion.

Monarchblossom pricked her ears as she heard a twig snap. Instantly the images disappeared. Irritation prickled against her pelt. Now, who bothers to wake me? Slowly, she got up and looked around, with her eyes narrowed. Her gaze upon an apprentice. Loudly, she sighed. Oh, starclan, anyone but Ivorypaw. A growl formed in her throat and she approached the young tom. "What do you want?" She asked flatly, prodding his side with her paw. "Out of anyone, you know how much I hate to be woken up, Ivorypaw."

Ivorypaw gulped, he was terrified of his mentor, "I'm so sorry Monarchblossm," he said softly looking away from the angry she-cat. "I didn't mean to, I just stepped in a twig and..." he trailed off, know she would not except his excuses.

The young shecat rolled her eyes dramatically as her puny apprentice stammered. Why was I picked to mentor him? Why was I picked to mentor any apprentice at all? Sighing, she realized she was wide awake. Monarchblossom swished her tail, aggravated. Damn you, Ivorypaw. "I didn't mean to, I just stepped in a twig and..." Yet again, Monarchblossom rolled her eyes. She always thought of her apprentice as an embarrassment. The tom seemed to have no self esteem whatsoever, and it made the shecat impatient. Might as well teach him a few things... The tortoiseshell shecat turned to her apprentice with a frown planted on her face and spoke slowly, "Well, it seems as if karma has bit me in the ass again. Might as well teach you a few things since you're out here." Monarchblossom drew in a deep breath. I can't believe I'm about to say this... "You. Need. To. Build. Confidence." She hissed at him, but made sure the words were clear.

Ivorypaw flinched when she said those words, and he flattened his ears in embarrassment. "S-sorry!" he squeaked, but ended up running off back to camp.
