Echo smiled, touching her nose to his. She was a very loyal cat, and since she'd promised Rambo that she'd be loyal to The Renegades and to him, she would be. "I mean what I say..." Her voice trailed off as she looked deep into his yellow eyes, and her heart clenched over how much she was falling for him. She wanted to kill this pitiful she-cat who had hurt him, and betrayed him. It wasn't fair, Rambo did nothing to Kissa....Yet. |

Rambo tried to look away, but Echo's enchanting blue gaze held him there. He blinked, surprised at what he was feeling. He had never felt like this before, not even with Kissa. It was... confusing. "I know you do," he murmured, again surprised at how soft and warm his tone sounded. Odd, he thought to himself, contemplating over these emotions. Finally, he sat up, brushing the dirt off his pelt. "You're a great cat, Echo, and I know you won't betray me," he said, leaning down to touch his pink nose to hers.

Echo purred softly, her big blue eyes filling with joy. She'd never loved a cat before, and she knew how vulnerable she was right now... But it was as if Rambo was soothing her, even though he hardly said anything at all. She stood and pressed her cheek to his, a smile forming on her lips. Echo realized with a jolt that this might be an awkward gesture to Rambo, and she stepped back, dipping her grey head. "Sorry." She muttered quietly. So quiet that it was hard to hear. |

A small smile spread on his lips when she purred, like a melody soothing his worries. His eyes widened ever so slightly when she pressed her cheek to his, but there was an aching when she tore away. He suddenly felt lonely again, even thought she was standing right in front of him. Rambo chuckled, something he rarely did, and batted Echo's cheek softly, so she would look at him. "I don't mind all that much," he whispered, his warm gaze twinkling with adoration. He didn't even realize he was falling for this she-cat. One moment he was on top of the cliff, feeling cold and strong, and next he was soaring through the air. It definitely wasn't a bad feeling, though. Not to Rambo.

Echo looked at him, noticing the soft look in his usually emotionless yellow eyes. Is he... Falling for me? She wondered to herself, but felt an aching voice in her head. Don't be ridiculous Echo! Stop being a love sick puppy. Echo shook the thought away and purred softly, pushing her side into his so that their pelts brushed against each other. Her body tingled in slight shock at the touch, as if she was surprised she'd done it. |

He closed his eyes at her touch, soaking in her brightness that seemed to radiate off her grey fur. He purred back, his more deep and throaty than hers. Rambo was thankful for her company. He didn't want to deal with his problems, the Clans and Kissa, right now. Later, much later. Right now, he wanted to enjoy the moment with Echo, because he might not get one like this in a while. "Thank you, Echo," he breathed out, relaxing at her touch.

Echo smiled and nodded, "You're welcome." She mewed softly, her voice as soft as silk, and her big blue eyes as warm as the sun. The grey she-cat stepped back and looked straight into Rambo's yellow eyes, heart pounding as she attempted to decipher the emotion they held. Relaxed? Caring? Echo couldn't be sure. "Rambo, I have to confess something to you." She mewed, looking down at her grey paws with embarrassment. |

Rambo's eyes slid to her as she retreated and they narrowed slightly. He searched her face for an explanation and sighed softly when he didn't find one. The sleek black tom sat down, calmly gazing at her. "What is it?" he asked, tilting his head slightly to the side.

Echo thought about how to say it... She couldn't say it straight out, she just didn't have the guts. "Well, Kissa and I don't get along very well. When you confront her she'll just say I'm lying.. Anyways, the reason she doesn't like me is... I, uh, like you." Her blue eyes glanced up from her paws, half wanting to see his reaction and half not. |

Rambo blinked, plainly shocked. He glanced away from her, out the window towards the forest. This can't be happening, how could she like me? There's nothing good about me, he thought to himself. He killed for the joy of it, he was ruthless. What she-cat could ever fall in love with him? Kissa wasn't in love him, that's for sure, and Echo couldn't be. She just couldn't. As much as Rambo wished it was true, he couldn't bring himself to believe it. He had too many faults, flaws, mistakes lying in his past. He let his own brother die, right in his paws. No she-cat could like him, much less love him. Rambo tore his gaze from the window, his yellow orbs flickering to look at her dazzling blue ones. "Why?" he whispered, his gaze pleading.
