_{Echo's claws sunk into the boards of the floor as he didn't respond. Oh no, what have I done? But when he asked why, she tipped her head. "What do you mean why? You're strong, handsome, and smart." She pointed out, nudging his shoulder gently. "Listen, I know alot of cat's don't know you very well... They just see the strong, secretive outside. But, I feel like I know more than that, like I've seen your... Soft side." She mewed, not really knowing if that was a good choice of words, but she hoped he knew what she meant. "I've fallen for that side." She whispered in his ear, her breath hot on his neck.}

His eyes gazed at her, admiring every part of her. Because every part of her was beautiful to him. Rambo felt himself soften and frankly, he was scared of that. You have nothing to worry about, it's Echo, he assured himself, and realized it was true. He didn't care if he looked serious and strong when with Echo, all he cared about was her. Her safety, her happiness, he'd do anything to her. Once coming to that realization, a small smile crept onto his lips.

He listened to her talk, her melodic voice pouring into his ears. His gaze softened and he leaned into her touch, drinking in her toxic scent. I've fallen for that side. Rambo burst out into a deep purr and turned his head to touch his nose to hers, a soft and quick show of affection. He leaned away to look at her and rested his gaze on hers. "I feel the same way," he murmured. "I think I always have," he added, then nodded after he said it. It was true, he had never really loved Kissa. Maybe liked her, in the beginning, but maybe he only liked her strength. With Echo, he loved every part of her. He was sure of it.

_{Echo purred when Rambo started to purr, and was shocked when he touched noses with her. Dissapointment showed in her face when he pulled away, but as the words slipped out of the tom's mouth she couldn't help but press herself against his side and breath in his scent. "Really?" She mewed, then smiled, "I'm glad you do!" Her blue eyes glimmered with joy, and then a thought popped into her head. Kissa. "But... What about Kissa?"}

Rambo's purr grew louder when she pressed against him, his heart flooded with joy. This was absolutely the perfect moment. He chuckled at her excitement, his small grin growing wider. This was actually happening, and to him! He sighed when she said his mate's name and there was nothing but guilt in his heart. "Ah, love, I don't know. You know I don't want to be with her. I'll confront her, don't you worry, and I promise this'll all work out," he said and leaned down to lick her cheek and this time didn't lean away, but instead pressed his nose into her cheek. "We'll be together," he murmured into her fur.

_{Echo listened to Rambo about Kissa, knowing that he'd confront her made her excited. Her eyes shone with happiness and she licked his ears, "I know we will be." She mewed, tail twining with his. Rambo was hers now, and nothing would change that. Not even Kissa. Her heart pounded and felt like it was going to jump out of her chest onto the floor infront of her. Echo turned and rubbed her muzzle against his with a purr rising in her throat. It came out loudly, louder than Echo could ever remember purring before. This was perfect. This is what makes the terrible days we have to live through worth it.}

Rambo purred as she licked his ears, and twined her tail with his. This moment was absolute bliss, pure happiness. Echo was everything he needed, and surely everything he wanted. His heart pounded with the overbearing joy that lay on his shoulders, but it was a good feeling. He licked her cheek again. "Forever," Rambo whispered, his voice soft and gentle, like a lullaby.

_{Echo felt her whole heart swell with unbearable joy. Forever with Rambo... What a nice thought. A thought Echo hoped would turn into reality. Wait! This meant.. She was going to be an Alpha! Anticipation tingled in her paws. Oh how much she'd always wanted to be of importance to The Renegades. "Forever." She mewed, smiling and touching noses with him. Her blue gaze locked with his yellow gaze, eyes filled with a happiness that could only be torn down by something truly upsetting.}

Rambo wanted to stay here with Echo forever, never leaving. He knew he couldn't. He was the Alpha, he had a responsibility and a reputation to uphold. He couldn't lock him and Echo in this dusty attic for eternity. He sighed, why did life have to be so complicated? Rambo moved away from Echo, padding towards the window where he originally was. He stared out the hole in the window, broken glass surrounding it. "I'll have to confront her soon, no use in putting this off," he said, knowing that Echo would realize exactly what he was talking about. His gaze averted from the window and dropped to the carpeted floor. "What do I say?" he murmured, half talking aloud and half to himself.

_{Echo sighed but couldn't help a soft smile. She walked over slowly to join him, thinking all the way about what he should do to confront her. "I'm not sure... Tell her how you feel, and how dissapointed you are. Tell her you've moved on and that she apparently has too." Echo continued, just rambling random ideas. "It's up to you." She finally finished, pressing her side gently to his. "But I'll be here for you, remember that."}

A soft smile spread across his face when he joined her, and he was comforted by her mere presence. Rambo nodded at her words, completely agreeing with her. "I'll tell her exactly how I feel, how much she's betrayed me... and the Renegades. We have an image to keep up and she is ruining it for all of us," he said with a slight growl. The growl came as quickly as it went, because Echo's fur against his was enough to wipe all the anger out of him.
