Ocher sat in the entrance to the main Occult camp. It was a giant cave, full of smaller caverns in the walls that created hundreds of dens, some atop others. Once all the dens had been filled, with barely any room to spare, but as the time had passed, their numbers had dwindled. Until the Renegades took their chance and slaughtered almost all of them. The cut over her eye was healing nicely, but it was still red and painful. She looked out of the cave, she was losing herself, in the loneliness of the whole thing. She turned and walked to the back of the cave, where here nest was built in a corner. She laid down, and rested her head on her paws. Wondering what life would have been like, if those terrible things had never happened.

Nocturne smelled her. He raised his velvet soft nose to the breeze to pick up her scent and he lowered it as soon as he caught it. He trudged forward until he reached the entrance to the Occult camp. A giant cave entrance to be exact. He stopped and sniffed the air again, just to be sure she was inside. His thoughts were confirmed and he slipped into the entrance. He found her in her nest with her tiny head resting on her tiny paws. She's way to young but I respect her...Ncturne thought as he dipped his head, his sharp green eyes watching her thoughtfully. "Hello Ocher." His voice no more than the whisper needed to start the conversation between them.

Ocher looked up, her eyes blazing like a wild flame. Nocturne. She had seen him before around the twoleg place, they had exchanged pleasantries not much more. "Nocturne." She said rising from her nest and taking a step towards the large cat. "Why are you here?" She spat, narrowing her eyes at the tom.

Nocturne had to stop himself from pinning his ears back and hissing in the kits face. He didn't want to offend her. He wanted an allegiance. "I have no where else to go..." He said through gritted teeth. He needed to get on her good side. He was a battle cat and he hoped his skills still worked. Maybe she could be impressed. "I could be of good use to you. I've heard the tales of what's happened here in the past." Nocturne lowered his head and narrowed his eyes on her while she gazed at him with her hostile eyes.

Curious as ever, Whisper followed the young shecat's scent. They hadn't talked much, but she found Ocher to be really interesting. She knew Ocher wouldn't be too happy to see her again, but she went ahead and padded forward. Nothing else to do.. "I could be of good use to you. I've heard the tales of what's happened here in the past." Whisper pricked her ears to the unfamiliar voice. Quickly, she sniffed the air and scented another cat besides Ocher. Good use? The white shecat padded up to the cave, and peeked in, making it obvious that she was there. She saw Ocher, and the back of the other cat. Without thinking, Whisper caught Ocher's eyes and shook her head, indicating that she didn't want the other cat to know she was there. I don't know much about him.

Ocher's golden eyes remained narrowed. She saw something behind Nocturne, it was the white she-cat Whisper, the one who had helped her with her wound. She understood Whisper's signal and returned her attention to the tom. "You could be of use," She said softly, her deep voice barely audible. "You must prove yourself to me." She said, "I need only the strong, the Occult does not waste it's time on the weak." She sat down and wrapped her tail around her front paws, her long whit pelt shone like the moon, and her eyes blazed like the sun.

Nocturne noticed Ocher's eyes flicker over his shoulder and he flicked his ears back and listened without turning. Someone else was here but he made sure not to make a scene about it. He must prove himself... What was there to prove. He was a tom with deadly reputation, what more do you want. But Ocher know's nothing about me... He flicked his ears back toward Ocher, ignoring the eyes he felt of the new comer on his back. He must remain calm if he wanted to get Ocher's attention. "How must I prove myself worthy; be it the tiniest battle with a member of your group or a hunt." He sighed, gazing unemotionlessly at Ocher, never giving anything away.

Whisper watched both of the cats carefully. Ocher had obviously understood her signal, which made Whisper grateful. But something made her paranoid about the tom. He probably senses me.. The white shecat cursed herself for being so stupid. But, dismissed it instantly. She couldn't curse herself forever, she needed to figure out what she was going to do. "How must I prove myself worthy; be it the tiniest battle with a member of your group or a hunt." Whisper shrunk back, hoping she wouldn't be part of him "proving himself". I would never have a chance against this tom.

"You must fight me." She said staring him straight in the eye. She was relaxed, he may have been larger than her, but she had technique on her side. He was willing to prove himself which was good. But he did not seem happy about having to deal with her. He still did not take her seriously, but he was willing to follow, so she wouldn't wound him...not too badly anyways.

"You must fight me." ... Nocturne's eyes widened at her words but then he resumed his previous emotionless face. He didn't want to take a risk but he needed a new home and he would follow this young cat if it meant this much. He sighed and gave a quick nod. If I lose, then what will she do to me... Nocturne had learned well and he crouched low to the cave floor and had a stare down match with Ocher; awaiting for her to make the first move. He wasn't stupid.
