Sagefoot smirked and rolled his eyes, letting the she-cat go. He sat down and allowed himself to admire her features. Her beautiful grey striped fur and soft brown eyes. Her fluffy tail looked cute and precious, just lying there in the sand. Sagefoot shook the thoughts away about Pessimisticpaw that he secretly had. She's pretty, funny, and sweet. And she's my apprentice. He reminded himself and stood, "Well, do you want to go hunting quickly? I'm sure Rushnose and Silentpaw could use some fresh kill in the medicine cat den. I'm sure they've been too busy sorting herbs to eat a decent meal."

Pessimisticpaw looked at Sagefoot with large eyes. She looked to the sky and sighed completely content with everything that was happening around her. She enjoyed her mentor even though he sorta was mad at her when she was late in the morning but she was going to prove that his anger was going to be worth what was to come. Feeling eyes on her pelt she felt self conscious as she got up on her paws and quickly let it go to the back of her brain when he started talking again. "Yes! I would love to! I could do training all day just to be the best apprentice!" She purred moving forward quickly on her paws."

Sagefoot purred, unable to resist doing so when she did. "Ok, let's go then. I'll teach you how to catch some big fish!" He announced, padding off towards the river. His brown tabby pelt looked sleek and shiny in the sun as he came to the river's edge, looking down into the depths of the water. Silver streaks shimmered under the water. Fish! "Pessimisticpaw, come here. You see those silver spots in the water? Those are fish." He perched himself on the river bank, then suddenly his paw dipped into the water and threw a fish up into the air. It landed on the bank beside him. Sagefoot put a paw on it and bit into the scaly flesh of the fish, nodding. "Now you try." He mewed, turning back to his apprentice.

Pessimisticsoul watched in awe when he caught the fish, and he tried to copy his exact movements. She kept her shadow away from the water and leaped to catch the fish when it came. Gazing proudly at her mentor, Pessimisticsoul ate the fish in one, swift bite.
