Rainpaw ႠႠႠႠႠႠႠ ' The small grey tabby tom padded towards the river with a sigh. All that had happened in the past few days made him have second thoughts about what he was doing. He'd insulted the she-cat he truly liked several times without even trying. I always hurt the people I love... It's a curse. He thought to himself, coming to sit at the edge of the river.
Glancing side ways he spotted the fish the two hadn't finished, and tears suddenly stung his eyes. Why was he being so sensitive? He wasn't someone who would just break down to tears, but lately... He was just falling to pieces. He pushed the fish into the river and watched it float down the stream, his vision slightly blurred by the tears. He quickly flicked them away with his tail. If anyone were to see him, they'd call him a kit.

C R Y S T A L P A W You're unbreakable ; So Shine Crystalpaw was bored, and so decided to go out for a walk. Thoughts of the past few days clouded her mind. I'm so stupid. She thought about how she almost had sex with a Riverclan apprentice. What realy caused her to do that? Was she really that desperate? Crystalpaw made a face. Of course that wasn't true. She just wanted.. to feel love without the commitment. Yeah, that's it. Content with her own reasoning she decided to practice fishing, unaware that Rainpaw was close by. She looked into the water, and silently breathed out, ready to scoop up whatever fish swam by. Suddenly, a bright colored one caught her attention. She smiled, and stuck her paw in, hoping to grasp the slippery animal. But, to Crystalpaw's dismay, it swam too fast for her. Frustrated, Crystalpaw jumped into the water since it was pretty shallow, and sat there. Why can't I ever get it? The apprentice stared at the clear, cold water letting that question cloud her mind.

' Rainpaw's ears perked curiously as he heard a big splash in the water. He squinted his blue eyes, seeing a shape in the water, but he didn't know what it was. He padded forward slowly and recognized the brown tabby she-cat known as Crystalpaw. He gulped down the wail that was raising in his throat and slid into the water beside her, glad it was shallow, for he wasn't exactly tall.
"You know... You aren't going to catch many fish by sitting in the middle of the river." He mewed softly, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. He walked cautiously over to her, so as to not get her mad. "Do you want some help?" He offered kindly, looking the she-cat over.

C R Y S T A L P A W You're unbreakable ; So Shine For some reason, Crystalpaw wasn't surprised that Rainpaw had found her. He always seemed to show up and talk to her at odd times. Just my luck. But, she decided not to get annoyed with him. It had been at least a day since their last fight, and she had to get over it. Better now than never. "I know that." She said simply, in response to the sitting in the water comment.
When he asked if he could help, Crystalpaw turned toward him and narrowed her eyes in a curious way. "I don't need help. I can catch fish all by myself without anyone's help." She stated, confidently. The confidence was fake though, and she hoped it wasn't obvious. She held her head up high, trying to seem dominant and to try to come off like she knew what she was doing, and then dunked her head into the water. This way, she could hide her embarrassment for such a weird act she had pulled.

' Rainpaw watched her dunk her head under the water and took that time to let out a chuckle. He rolled his eyes and got out of the water, perching himself on the bank. The grey striped tom waited for a fish to swim by and dipped his paw in the water. He clawed the fish and picked up, setting it on the bank so that he could kill it. Then he picked it up and jumped into the water beside Crystalpaw, nudging her. He attempted to talk through the fish in his mouth, but it didn't work very well. "Fant et?" He mewed, his voice dorky yet cute.

C R Y S T A L P A W You're unbreakable ; So Shine Crystalpaw was about out of breath when she saw his legs disappear from her side. Disappointement flushed over her, thinking that he had left because he was too embarrassed to be seen with her. Then, she saw the little legs return, and he said something that she couldn't quite make out. Maybe because I'm under water... Dumbly, she resurfaced, with a huge gulp of air. The sun reflected the water on her face, making her eyes prettier than usual. She then looked at him and noticed he had a fish in his mouth. He looked slightly... cute. She giggled at the thought. "What?" She asked, referring to what he said earlier.

' The tom tried again, "I faid, goo dou Fant e-" He set the fish down, holding it in a paw. "I mean.. Do you want it?" He mewed with a smile at how he must have sounded before. "I'm not really that hungry." He explained, "And I don't want it to go to waste."
Honestly, he was a bit hungry, but he made up the excuse so Crystalpaw would accept it without feeling like she was stupid, or couldn't catch her own fish. Rainpaw thought he was starting to see how he had to deal with the she-cat, and it wasn't easy. Hopefully it's worth it. He thought to himself, looking into her beautiful eyes.

C R Y S T A L P A W You're unbreakable ; So Shine "Oh." Was all Crystalpaw said as he repeated his words. She didn't want the fish, she just wanted to practice catching them. It's a waste though.. She watched as he held it in his paw under the water, and wondered how he did that with the fish's scaley skin. "Um," She whispered, trying to figure out what she would say. "I'm not really hungry either." She looked away, embarrassed that he went through all that trouble, and she didn't even want it. She looked at the water and noticed other fish swimming around, so tried to catch a few, but they only slipped through her claws. Dammit.

' Rainpaw glanced at the fish, which his claws were deeply embedded in. He took a few bites of it and let it float down the river, then watched Crystalpaw try to catch a few fish. He felt bad just sitting there watching, so he stood next to her and kept his eyes glued to the water. "Here, watch. It's easier if you get one of your claws stuck in their gills. Then they can't swim away." He mewed, demonstrating this by catching another fish. His paw swooped down, and one of his claws got stuck in a fish's gills. He picked his paw up, the fish being held up by a claw.
The grey tabby tom bit the fish so that it would die and threw it onto the bank, planning to take it to the clan later. That would feed a hungry queen or an elder easily. He looked to Crystalpaw. "Now you try." He instructed. "It's not very hard."

C R Y S T A L P A W You're unbreakable ; So Shine Crystalpaw watched him intently as he showed her how to catch a fish easily. Sure, she was still upset with him for being so overprotective, but that didn't mean he couldn't teach her how to fish... Right? Catching it from the gills.. She noted that advice, and tried to remember it. When he told her to try, she was ready. Silently, she waited for a tasty fish to be swimming past her, and finally one did. With one slick movement she dunked her paw into the water and slid her clawes into the fish's gills, and then brought it out and bit it; killing it instantly. She through it unto the bank, and turned to Rainpaw, smiling triumphantly. "I did it!" She mewed, and purred with delight. She then looked unto the bank to study her prize. The fish was small. Disappointment flushed over her. That was barely enough for an apprentice who was only somewhat hungry. She turned back to Rainpaw and pouted. "I'm horrible at this." She said, and pouted more.
