Diesel ╚╚╚╚ ' The oddly colored white tom with the light tabby markings on his face jumped through the window in the side of the building know as the Renegades' main camp. He felt concrete underneath his paws and looked around. He was in the alley, as disgusting and filthy as it was, he enjoyed just sitting there and looking at the sky. The tom trudged over to the side of the alley and lay on his back, staring up at the clouds. Oh Diesel, what are you ever going to do with yourself?

A L L I E bitter on the inside An orange, cute looking tabby padded into the alley, not knowing that Diesel was also inside. Since the drama between them went down, they hadn't talked much. Not that Allie cared.. Or did she? Doesn't matter. I don't care for him. She knew those thoughts were complete lies, but didn't try to dwell on it. Lost in her thoughts, she had no idea that she had stopped right behind the big tom. Allie then looked up, sensing another tom. She hissed, surprised that it was Diesel. Of course, just my luck.
The shecat looked around, ready to escape a conversation between them, but then stopped. Why should she? This alley wasn't just for him, she had a right to be here too. She turned back to the tom, hoping he wouldn't sense her nervousness. "Uh, hey." She said, lamely. She flattened her ears against her small head in a non-cautious way. She didn't feel like arguing with the handsome tom today. "Been awhile."

' Diesel heard approaching paw steps, and his ice blue eyes glanced over at the small tabby she-cat he'd come to like. They hadn't talked much recently, and it was a bit of a downer for him. He sat up as she began talking and he nodded to her. "Hey." The tom looked her over, wondering if there was a particular reason she'd decided to be nice enough to talk to him. She wasn't always the friendliest cat ever, but she didn't seem to mind Diesel, and he was glad.
"It certainly has, how have you been?" He wondered aloud, a smile threatening to pull at the edges of his lips. The big, muscular tom tried to ignore it but it was hard. Despite the fact that he was definitely one of the strongest cats in the Renegades, he was also one of the softest. Though he cleverly hid it very well.

A L L I E bitter on the inside Allie attempted to smile at the tom, but it turned out to look like a half smile half smirk type of deal. She liked him... But she tried not to accept that fact. She didn't know what love was, nor did she believe in it... But she always always had trouble breathing when she was around him, and she didn't know why. It was like he made her nervous. Well he does... I think. That thought struck her as weird. What had made her think that? She didn't know, and didn't plan to find out.
"I've been... Fine." She said, trying to choose her words carefully. Allie felt the need to apologize to him, but she never apologized, so the urge to do so confused her. "What about you?" She then asked quickly, hoping he couldn't hear her heart pouding against her small chest. Why was she feeling this way? I don't like him like that! Do I? The tabby swished her tail back and forth, but still looked at the tom. Her smirk-smile had disappeared, now it was just her big mint green eyes staring at him.

' Diesel felt his smile erupt onto his face as she smirk-smiled at him... It was kind of... Cute. He looked her over, making sure she was ok. She seemed to be acting strange, nervous even. "I'm good, thanks." He answered politely. He'd learned that acting full of himself around she-cats wasn't the best thing to do, so he was naturally kind to them.
"You know, you don't have to be nervous around me." He mewed, his ice blue eyes staring into the depths of her mint green ones as he took a step forward and put his tail under her chin. A slight smirk appeared across his face. "It's just me."

A L L I E bitter on the inside [center[A shiver went up Allie's spine, making her fur stand on end when he touched the tip of his tail to her chin. It tilted her head upward, forcing her to look up at him. She felt like a kit, being so small and all. She kept her expression blank, though, not wanting to give anything away. "I know that." She mewed, stubbornly.
She glanced to her right, not wanting to meet his eyes anymore. They were too pretty, and she couldn't focus when she looked in them. The shecat thought about apologizing, but the thought just seemed to impossible. What would even be the point? That thought struck her as odd, also. It was like she was arguing with herself that wanted to let Diesel in, and the part that didn't. I'm so weird. Taking a deep breath in, she decided to give in the part that wanted to be nice.
"I'm sorry." She muttered, and then looked up at him, worried that he didn't hear her. "I'm sorry for being a bitch before. It's just... hard to let other cats in." She added, hoping he would understand.

' Diesel chuckled at her stubborn tone, and waited for her to say something else as she seemed to drift into thought. Hm... She's so hard to talk to sometimes. He thought to himself. But honestly, he wouldn't have it any other way. She wouldn't be Allie if she didn't act the way she did.
Then as her mint green eyes met his ice blue ones and the she-cat began to talk, he had to hold in a bit of laughter. "Allie, you aren't a bitch. You're stubborn, and untrusting, and hard to get along with. But you wouldn't be Allie if you weren't." He explained genuinely, his tone soft and honest. He licked her ear quickly. "And... I like you, for you."

A L L I E bitter on the inside Allie widened her eyes in surprise as he said those words, and licked her ears. She didn't know what to say. She honestly, for once in her life, did not have a smart comment or an insult to throw back at the compliment he had just given her. But at the same time, she didn't want to be rude. The compliment soothed her in a certain way she couldn't explain. Yet again Allie made no effort to change her expression, even the surprise wasn't obvious.
"Honestly?" She then whispered, looking into his eyes. She thought about what would happen between them. How they would end up and such, it just didn't seem to fall together for her. Maybe it could work out? The thought was full of hope, and maybe, just maybe, the shecat could rely on that.

' Diesel nodded slowly. "I wouldn't lie to you." He mewed, voice trickling with honesty... He'd never seen himself so soft and vulnerable, and he was mildly aware that any tom who saw him right now would think he was a different cat. But that was partly due to the fact that he generally hated toms in the first place. Well, at least the other cats knew he wasn't gay.
He looked down at Allie, returning to present day and busting out of the world that housed his inner thoughts. A smile crept onto his face as he realized how close they were. "What about you... How do you feel?" The ginger tom asked hopefully, but making sure that he didn't seem too hopeful, for that was very unattractive and he knew it.

A L L I E bitter on the inside He'd never lie to me.. That thought swam through the small shecat's mind. She liked it. She liked how she could trust in this cat, especially if it was someone like Diesel. Who liked her for... her. That made her happy, so she gave him a small smile.
When he asked her how she felt, she widened her eyes a bit. The question wasn't hard to answer, but knowing her stubborness, she didn't exactly want to be honest about it. Taking a deep breath, she decided to be honest for once. This'll be the only time. "I'll be honest." She said, and looked at her paws almost immediately. "But don't expect me to be like this all the time." She knew he already knew that part, but decided to say it anyway. She then looked back up at him, and kept her smile planted on her face. "I think I.. have feelings for you too, Diesel."
