Flamecloud looked at her "Do you want to go for a walk?" he asked. He had hoped that she would say yes because he had a crush on her and wanted to tell her how much he liked her.

The leader was done with her breakfast, it was little more than bones now. She looked up at the tom, her gray eyes twinkling like mercury in the morning sunlight. "That would be nice." She said smiling softly at him.

Flamecloud smiled Great! he thought with excitement. He got up and padded over to the enterance and waited for Poppystar to come. He was feeling like he was jumping with joy on the inside. |

Poppystar rose to her feet and followed Flamecloud, her muscles rippling under her thin pelt, like a russet ocean.

When they were out of camp and alone he turned toward poppystar. He took a deep breath Poppystar He said slowly Im in love with you, Can I be your mate? He asked. He was shaking with fear but not enough for her to see. His heart was like a race car.

Poopystar stopped, her eyes widened and her jaw dropped. She did have feelings for Flamecloud, but the thought that they were returned was just to much to process. She moved her mouth up and down like a fish out of water, she didn't know what to say. He had been so blunt, he knew what he wanted, and somehow what SHE wanted. She nodded weakly "Yes..." she said softly.

A smile went acrossed Flameclouds face. He then stepped close to her and nuzzed into her fur breathing in her sent. Flamecloud looked up at her with the smile still on his face.

"But I love someone else..." Poppystar sighed as she thought of Whitedawn. "I'm sorry, Flamecloud, I can't be your mate." Quickly, she raced away to go meet Whitedawn.
