Buttercuppaw looked around and padded over to the fresh kill pile, grabbing a trout from the top of the pile. She turned around and saw Ivorypaw. The she-cat purred and padded over to him, setting down the big trout. "Hey Ivorypaw! Do you want to share? I can't possibly eat the whole thing." She mewed sweetly, blinking her big, bright green eyes.

Ivorypaw jumped, Buttercuppaw had startled him. His odd eyes went wide, and his long snow-white fur stood on end. He gasped, and then sighed, relaxing slightly. "You scared me!" He exclaimed, rubbing his paws against each other to try and hide his embarrassment. He paused for a moment and then remembered the she-cats original question, he looked down at the trout, it was giant, and he was starving. But he was waiting for Pessimisticpaw, the usually ate together, along with his sister Winterpaw. But he couldn't wait any longer. "Yes please," He said eyeing the large fish, his stomach rumbling.

"Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to startle you." The orange tabby she-cat mewed. She had an odd pelt, with grey paws and a grey tail-tip. The rest was orange tabby. But she was quite the talk in the apprentice den, she was pretty and had an innocent, seducing air around her. She nudged the trout closer to Ivorypaw and crouched beside him, taking a few small bites. Buttercuppaw wasn't that hungry, but she liked Ivorypaw, and this was a good bonding experience.

"It's fine." He mumbled, taking a large bite of the trout. It was delicious, it could only be better if he was eating it with Pessimisticpaw, instead of Buttercuppaw. But he would at least have a chance to get to know the she-cat.

Buttercuppaw took a few bites, taking time to think about what to say. She didn't really know much about Ivorypaw, but she wanted to get to know him better. "So, how have you been?" She asked, licking aroung her muzzle to clean away any blood or pieces of fish.

Ivorypaw took another bite, and thought about an answer to Buttercuppaw's question. Nothing new had really happened. Everyday was the same, wake up, train, clan duties, then sleep. "Nothing really." He mumbled, his mouth full of fish.

Buttercuppaw nodded, glancing around. "I know what you mean, the days are pretty routine here lately." She mewed, taking a final bite of trout. The fish was practically only bones now. The orange and grey she-cat looked around, "Hey, we should go to the training hollow and have a mock battle! It'll be fun... And I don't think anyone else is at the training hollow."

Ivorypaw looked around the camp, he wanted to wait for Pessimisticpaw, but he had no idea where she was. He stood up and shook the small bits of dirt and moss that were stuck in his thick pelt. "I guess so..." he said softly, he wasn't the best at fighting, he preferred hunting, he didn't like to hurt his clan mates.

Buttercuppaw smiled, "Ok, let's go!" She stood and shook dirt from her pelt before racing off for the training hollow. When she got there she sunk into the sandy hollow and lowered into a crouch, flicking her tail, signaling for Ivorypaw to attack.

Ivorypaw grinned at her, pouncing on her back gently, sheathed claws touching her back. He then swiped one sheathed paw down her back, and pushed her neck in between his jaws lightly so she wouldn't be hurt.
