Kovu tipped his head and looked the she-cat over. Yes, only her paw seemed to be hurt, besides a few scratches and such. "Hm, are you sure you're ok? You could eat some poppy seeds if you must. I'm sure there's some around here." He mewed and looked around with his tail held high. Kovu started sniffing around for poppy seeds and nodded. "Yup, over here!" He raced towards a gap in the fence where some poppies were growing. The white and black tom gently took some of the seeds and brought them back to Maplefur, setting them down. "There!" He mewed, satisfied with himself. |

The she-cat brought her paw to her lips and licked it, flinching at the pain it caused. At least Kovu's not hurt, she thought. She watched him pad away in search of poppy seeds. Maplefur stood and shook her pelt out to rid it off the dirt that clung to it, being careful not too disturb her paw, which was feeling a tad numb at the moment. She stared at it in worry, until herbs were dropped at her feet. Maplefur turned her gaze onto them and lapped them up, grimacing at the tangy taste.
She licked her lips to make sure she got it all and looked up at Kovu. "Thank you," she said softly. Maplefur touched her paw to the ground gingerly, instantly withdrawing it when pain coursed through it. "We should keep going," she mewed, standing up. Her bright blue orbs flashed to Kovu's handsome face, the hint of a smile twitching at her lips. He was so damn cute.

Kovu responded to her words with a nod, "Yes, we should. But you traveling isn't going to help that paw. I'm not going to be traveling with a she-cat who's always complaining." He teased softly, batting at her ear in a kind, playful gesture. "But, I'm not really sure what else I can do for it... I'm no 'medicince cat' as you clan cats call them." He mewed with a sigh, a look of sorrow crossing his face. It was times like these he wished he knew herbs, so he could help others around him.
Glancing at her paw again, now held in the air, he smirked softly. "We can rest for a moment if you'd like... Once we get out of this dog place!" He muttered, wrinkling his nose in disgust as the scent of dog flood into his nose from the recent attack. He looked to Maplefur, awaiting her decision. She's eager to see her son, but she has to be careful. Hopefully she's smart enough to know her limits. As far as I know, she's got beauty and brains. Kovu thought. |

Her lips curled up in a small smile at his teasing, her hopes lifting a bit. She was definitely thankful that Kovu was there with her. Otherwise, she'd be in some deep depression right about now. Her smile grew wider when he batted at her ear and she leaned away in a playful gesture. She saw his sorrow and instantly felt saddened herself. "I'll be fine. I don't complain," she murmured softly, hoping to reassure him. All she wanted to do was get to her son.
Her smile returned when he suggested to leave. Maplefur stood up, careful for her paw not to touch the ground. She hadn't noticed the nasty god smell until now. Her nose crinkled up and she let out a disgusted snort. "Let's go now. And quick, it reeks in here," she said, limping a couple steps forward. Her blue eyes shot back over her shoulder, waiting for Kovu to take the lead again. She knew she couldn't go far limping on three legs, but she'll go as far as she could. She could stop soon and rest if she had to.

Kovu nodded, "If you're sure." He mewed and began walking along the white picked fence they were surrounded by. Figuring it'd be too hard for Maplefur to have to walked along the top of the fence, he looked for an opening inbetween the perfectly white boards. It took him awhile to find one, and when he did it was a thin opening, definetly not big enough for himself to fit through. But maybe she can still fit? Kovu thought to himself and stepped back to size up the she-cat.
"Do you want to try squeezing through here?" He asked, afraid she might say no and he'd have to attempt to find another opening in the boards big enough for a cat to crawl through. Kovu's soft blue eyes gazed into Maplefur's eyes. "I can climb over the fence here, as long as you can squeeze through the gap." He explained quickly. |

Maplefur nodded and began followed him, lagging a few steps behind because of her injury. She stopped to watch him look for an opening, searching herself. There was no way she was getting over that fence, she had to go under. Kovu must've spotted one, for she heard his voice and followed it, coming into sight of the small opening. "I can try," she mewed, digging under opening. She squeezed under it, grimacing when the fence dug into her skin. Maplefur dove out the other end and turned to wait for Kovu to join her.

Kovu nodded approvingly as she slid under the fence and he leapt onto the top of it, glancing around from the high place and spotting his destination. A big, red brick twoleg den not that far away. He jumped down beside Maplefur and nodded. "Let's go then." The tom mewed and walked at Maplefur's pace towards the red brick twoleg den, and when he made it there he motioned to a window. "Go on." |

Maplefur's ears flicked back against her head when she spotted the twoleg place. She never liked twolegs, even if this house was abandoned. It still seemed odd to her, like something was out of place. Maplefur shrugged off her worries. Her son was in there, so she was going in there. Period. The she-cat glanced at Kovu with slight fear in her bright blue eyes. She then turned to the window and leapt up, easily squeezing into the den. The ThunderClanner jumped onto the floor of the den, instantly backing up so her hindquarters touched the wall. This place seemed really out of sorts.

Two black toms grabbed Maplefur and drug her off to a room, pushing her through a dog door. Raven was curled in a tight ball in the room, shivering in fear. His ribs poked out from underneath his ungroomed fur. He clawed the ground nervously and glanced at Maplefur fearfully. ooc;; Now move to the new thread ;D -Thread ended- |
