Lilacstar glanced around, coming to the gorge that marked the border between Riverclan and Windclan. She stretched out her front legs, arching her back luxuriously. The leader sat down and looked at the setting sun. She'd left Frostrunner in charge of the camp while she watched the sun go down, which was a normal thing for her, she loved sunsets.
Her purple eyes glanced around, scanning the Windclan border curiously. The gorge was only about a five tail-length slope, so really, it was more of a tiny valley with a stream trickling through the middle. She slipped down the muddy side of the gorge and plunged into the stream, cleaning her silver tabby fur free of the mud. She stood in the stream, the water parting around her paws. The water only came up to her chest and she closed her eyes, a smile creeping onto her muzzle. The cold chill of the stream felt nice.

Whitedawn walked through a large patch of heather, a large rabbit hanging from his jaws. It was strange, spending time away from Poppystar, but she had wanted to stay in the camp, and it was his duty to feed his clan. And he just had to get out, the Windclan camp was open, but it was still to much at times for him. He set the rabbit down and scented the air again, searching for something to catch and bring back to his clan. He scented something, water vole, he followed the scent.
He walked for a little while longer, but the scent trail lead him to the Riverclan border. "Foxdung." he cursed under his breath. He wasn't one to break the warrior code, so he would leave this vole be and find something else.

Lilacstar's eyes opened quickly as the scent of Windclan cat came past her nose. She scrambled up the edge of the gorge in a few elegant bounds and turned, glancing across the gorge at the cat that had disturbed her. Her ears perked when she saw it was a handsome tom, and her purple eyes took on a sparkle. Yes, she was a leader, but that didn't mean she had to be completely rude to cats who meant no harm. "Greetings." She mewed in a friendly tone, her voice drifting across the small gorge and sounding elegant and beautiful. Which were exactly the two words to describe Lilacstar, elegant and beautiful.

The tall Windclan tom looked down at the silver she-cat, she was wet, and very close to crossing over the Windclan border. "Hello." He said, his voice cold and emotionless. He didn't like this, he didn't like talking to others, especially those who weren't part of his clan. He felt uncomfortable, his pelt itched, but he shrugged it off, not wanting to look juvenile in front of the Riverclan leader.

Lilacstar smirked slightly, seeing his muscles tensed, "It's ok, I'm not going to pass the border. I just came out here to watch the sunset." She looked in the direction of the big, round sun. Without moving her head she took in a dreamy breath, "Isn't it beautiful?" She turned to face him, purple eyes alert and full of life.
"I don't believe we've met before.. What's your name?" The she-cat looked over the warrior. He was probably around her age, she guessed. The tom resembled her fellow leader, Poppystar, much in build. Lilacstar wondered if the tom was related to Poppystar.

Whitedawn nodded, his muscles relaxed slightly. He turned slightly, to look at the sun, it looked nice, but he didn't want to keep is back turned to the strange she-cat for to long. He turned back to her just in time to answer her question. "I'm Whitedawn." He said, his voice was deep, but smooth. His black pelt glinted with a bluish-purple undertone in the light of the setting sun, "If I do recall, you are Lilacstar."

Lilacstar smiled and dipped her head, "Yes, I'm Lilacstar. It's nice to meet you Whitedawn." The she-cat admired the purple-ish color the setting sun turned his pelt. It was pretty. She lost her footing and slid back down the muddy slope into the stream, landing on her stomach. She sat up and spit out water with a laugh. How she found everything so happy and funny, no one knew, but it made her more fun to be around.
She stood, shaking the water off her silver pelt. It slid right off like most any Riverclan cat. She glanced at where she was standing. She was perfectly on the border. She backed up a few steps, "Sorry... the mud is slippery." She explained, hoping she hadn't scared the seemingly skittish tom.

Whitedawn narrowed his eyes, had she really slipped or was she just trying to catch his off guard? He didn't like this, she was to close to his territory and he could not attack her, even if she did cross the border.

Lilacstar gave a sigh and smiled softly, and put on her sweet face, "Don't worry, I'm not planning on attacking you. I'm not bloodthirsty, for Starclan's sake!" She giggled at the thought, "Come on now, don't be so hostile." She headed back up the gorge on the side of the Riverclan border, body completely relaxed and not in battle mode. "Plus, I wouldn't attack a handsome tom like you for no reason." She mewed over her shoulder with a smirk.

Whitedawn shrugged, he still didn't trust her. He just wanted to take his prey back to the camp and eat with his sister. "So, do you even want anything from me?" He asked, hoping he could get away soon without angering the Riverclan leader.
