Kovu
✯✯✯ [/right] ' Kovu walked into the camp, dragging a fat turkey behind him. He set it at the fresh kill pile, a bit of pride swelling inside of him. He glanced up to see Ivyflame giving him a scowl and he flinched back, padding over towards the warriors den. Why did everyone hate him? Well, because he was a rogue, and he hadn't taken a full warrior name. Even if he was considered a warrior, apparently that wasn't enough for the cats in Thunderclan.
He gave a sigh and laid down outside the warriors den in the pine needle area, where all of the cats met to talk. A few groups of cats glanced at Kovu and started talking in whispers and he lay his head down on his paws, pinning his ears back so he couldn't catch the words they were saying. But, even then he heard a few. He's nothing but a rogue. What and idiot. He'll never be a Thunderclan warrior!
Kovu stood up and padded off to an oak tree, climbing up it with ease he laid across one of the branches and gave a sigh. Oh, why was life always so tricky? Couldn't he ever fit in, just this once? He glanced at the sky, not really having known Starclan existed, he'd never really prayed to them. He thought maybe he should start. "Starclan, please let me fit in!" He whispered quietly and looked back down at the camp infront of him.

Maplefur's bright blue eyes shone with pride as she watched Kovu drag in his bountiful catch. It'd be enough to feed all the elders! She stood up to walk over to him, but paused when she noticed the other warriors whispering about him. Fury engulfed her as she noticed Kovu pad away, but her gaze was focused on the rude group of warriors. She stalked over to them, her tail-tip lashing irritably. "do you mind?" she hissed, disapproval clear in her voice. "kovu is a great warrior. he has more loyalty in him than you have in one ounce of your being. whatever his background is doesn't matter, because he's faithful to this clan," she glared at each one of them before whipping around.
hearing them talk about him like that, just because he was a rouge before he came to thunderclan, made something inside her fire up. she too was a rouge before she came to thunderclan and she had endured the same whispering and glares. eventually, things settled down, but she wasn't going to watch kovu go through the same thing if she could put a stop to it. he didn't deserve that. when she spotted him in the oak tree, her fur lay flat and he body released its tension. she trotted to the base of the oak and tipped her head back to gaze at him. "kovu, won't you come down?" she asked as sweetly as she could, a hopeful glint in her blue orbs.

' Kovu watched Maplefur confront the other warriors, a slight smile curling at the edge of his lips. What he'd do with out Maplefur, he didn't know. She was the only one in the clan that stood up for him... Well, except Ravenpaw. But he didn't do much, considering he was an apprentice and the other cats would pretty much ignore him.
Glancing down at Maplefur he smiled. "After what you did for me, sure." He slid off the branch, landing on his paws next to Maplefur. He smiled and nudged her shoulder. "Thank you." That was the difference between Kovu and nearly any tom in this clan. He could saw thank you, instead of 'I didn't need your help'.

her inside warmed as he smiled and she admired his grace as he leapt down. if maplefur had tried to do that, she'd probably break all her legs. she giggled when he nudged her shoulder, a tingle shooting down her spine. she nodded at his thanks, but she didn't really require it. she'd do anything for him. "my pleasure," she murmured and licked his cheek. then she leaned away, creating a playful distance between them. "those mousebrains will learn soon enough," she said, raising an eyebrow at him.

' Kovu smirked and gave a nod, though he didn't appreciate the distance inbetween them. He stepped forward, closing the gap as he licked her ear playfully, then jumped back, crouching on the ground so it looked as if he were going to pounce. Kovu, though a full grown warrior, could play like a kit. And that was something he wasn't ashamed of, for it was fun! All the other warriors were too stiff and strict to have fun.

the she-cat purred when he licked her ear, leaning forward to return the affection. she opened her eyes when kovu wasn't there next to her and gazed curiously at his crouched position. she laughed, a playful sparkle in her ocean blue orbs. "you little...," she trailed off, lowering into her own crouch, her tail swiping back and forth across the dirt. she wasn't afraid to get dirty, getting muddy was all the more fun. she purred at kovu and jumped forward to bat his nose before pouncing back.

' Kovu smirked, unable to act fast enough to return the hit before she'd already poucned back. He leapt forward, landing on the she-cat and rolling her onto her back so that he was pinning her. He purred loudly, giving a lick to her forehead. He then mewed in her ear. "Gotcha." Affection and pleasure sparkled deep in Kovu's blue eyes.

she raised a paw to block his attack, but didn't realize what he was doing until she was pinned on the ground, staring up at him. she inhaled his scent and smiled softly at him. she returned his purr gladly and patted his cheek with her paw. suddenly, she flipped her lips out from underneath him and twisted, so that she was now on top. "oh really?" she asked with a purr, placing a paw on his chest and raising her head in triumph.

A purr escaped him and his tail reached for her tail, twining his white and black striped tail with her grey tail. "Fine. You win." He mewed, reaching up to lick the she-cat's muzzle, a slight tingle of pleasure rippling through his body.

maplefur glanced down at him with a warm expression, purring when their tails intwined. she touched her nose briefly to his before moving her paw off his chest. "don't i always?" she asked innocently and shrugged.
